Following years of disappointing releases, it’s become easy to forget that in the early 2000’s Eminem was not only the most critically and commercially acclaimed rapper working, but was also considered by many to be one of the best rappers of all time.
The two talk about Eminem’s journey from battle rapper to MTV icon, the critical reevaluation of his lyrical content, his landmark album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’, and his influence on today’s generation of A-list rappers like Tyler the Creator and Kendrick Lamar.
